Today is Sunday, Christianne and I decided to go to Syntagma Square. It’s the place where the Hellenic Parliament is. Every Sunday at noon the guards change in a very unique way.
Soldiers have to stand in front of the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. They have to stand in front of the Monument for one hour, during that hour they aren’t allowed to move or make any faces. When the soldiers have to change they move in slow motion to protect their blood circulation after standing still for 60 minutes.
Normally on Sunday there is a parade before they change guards but today is was raining and because they wear metal shoes it was so slippery to do the parade.
We still recorded some footage of the change of guards so you can see how still they are standing and how they change guards.
